DANCER, CHOREOGRAPHER, FILMMAKER, DIRECTOR & EDITOR
Henrikke Sande Boger is a Norwegian performer, choreographer, filmmaker, multimedia artist, director, editor and web designer. Pursuing her passion for dance through high school, receiving her BA in Dance at the University of Stavanger and a recent Alumni from New York University, Tisch School of The Arts graduating from her MFA, with concentration in Dance and Technology.
Her choreography has been showcased internationally through her first short film “Røtter” in collaboration with director Raven Jackson and cinematographer Felipe Vara De Rey. “Røtter” has been selected for Topanga Film Festival in Los Angeles in August, 2019 and Ciné-Corps Film Festival in France in March, 2019.
While living in New York she has been working on film set as both a choreographer, dancer and film production assistant. For Joan Baez music video “The Last Leaf” she was a production assistant on set, featuring New York City Ballet. She danced in Priska’s music video “Gold In The River” directed by Sheldon Chau.
Henrikke has a background as a dance company member, dance teacher, and freelancer, she believes that an optimistic mindset and seeing adversity as opportunity, is critical in the field of dance. She sees setbacks as a chance to come back stronger than ever before, and rejection and mistakes are a vital part of the process of being a human and an artist.
She is deeply grateful for every teacher and mentor she has met on her journey. They have all taught her to be a more self-aware artist, leader and global citizen of the dance community. While studying and living in New York City, to support her local dance community she has continued her membership in Dansis, an organization for professional dance artists in the municipality of Rogaland, Norway.
